Day seven started at 6:04 a.m. I'd thought about taking a full rest day, but I still wanted to move, so I chose a chill version of zone 2 cardio instead of the gym. First, the usual morning rush: weigh-in, then getting the kids to school and daycare (and yes, I was running a little late).
Yesterday I was extra tired and extra hungry, so I cut my workout short, ate more and took a catnap. The scale budged a little this morning, and that's okay. That's intuitive eating: listening to your body and giving it what it needs. Flexibility is a big part of this process. I still hit about 142 grams of protein, so I'm proud of myself for sticking to my goals even while tweaking my meal plan.
Before cardio I made my water for the day with mint, lemon and strawberries, then took my supplements. It's a simple way to make hitting your water goal feel a little more fun.
Instead of the gym, I walked on my home treadmill while carrying dumbbells. It's an easy way to put a little sauce on your walking routine and bring your heart rate up slightly without going hard. My average heart rate was 123 beats per minute, staying mostly between zone 2 and zone 3.
I tweaked my meal plan to fish and veggies, and I was thinking about the Premier Protein cereal with strawberries and Fairlife milk from yesterday. One cup is about 180 calories, but the protein payoff is worth it for me.
I didn't start my night routine and red light therapy until about 8 p.m. because I was editing videos. Getting to bed on time has been my biggest struggle. On the bright side, between the water, green tea and super greens, I can already see a glow after just a few days.
In Samsung Health, my energy score was up 13 points and I hit 13,763 steps. I finally finished all my water. I met every goal except sleep, and I came in a little under my protein goal, around 140 grams. Day eight is up next. This is my personal experience, not medical advice. Glow hard. GRIT harder.
