A Chaotic Morning

Day six started with chaos. I weighed in but couldn't do my usual morning check-in with you because getting everyone out the door was a whole thing. I finally headed to the gym, water bottle packed (the water I keep fighting to drink), supplements not taken yet.

Weigh-In: Scale Up, Muscle Up

The scale went up a little after ending my fast, but my skeletal muscle mass went up too, so I'm not going to trip about it. The scale is only one piece of the picture.

Lighter Food Swaps

I talked through a few swaps I'm making, like fat-free shredded cheese, which is surprisingly hard to find. I also realized I could cut back on salt and spice. My quesadillas the day before were way too spicy, even though I love cooking with adobo sauce.

Tired, But I Showed Up

At the gym I felt weak and couldn't get through all my sets. But I'm not worried, because I showed up. My body was telling me it needed rest, and part of this journey is listening.

Tweaking My Meal Plan With Grace

I tweaked my meal plan for the day, and that's okay. Allowing yourself grace to not be perfect, and to make adjustments as you go, is part of making this sustainable. No fast-food run, just a few smart changes.

Water Wins and What I Ate

I do better with my water when it has ice in it and on lifting days. Food for the day included Premier Protein cereal with strawberries and Fairlife milk, a turkey burger with bacon, and air-fried potato wedges. My appetite was a little higher than usual on my GLP-1, but this is still progress.

Samsung Health Check-In

My energy score dropped nine points and the app said I overdid exercise the day before. Still, I hit 12,477 steps just by moving around the house, without even getting on the treadmill.

Sleep, Energy and My Cycle

I got about seven hours of sleep with two hours of deep sleep, yet I still felt exhausted, which I think is tied to where I am in my cycle. In the end I checked off everything on my list: water, green tea and my super greens drink. Day six done. This is my personal experience, not medical advice. Glow hard. GRIT harder.
