Nobody wants to pay Lululemon prices for gym clothes. So I tried on a few pieces from IUGA, a yoga, Pilates and activewear brand that focuses on comfort and affordability. I'm six feet tall and a big girl, so if it works on me, I'm telling you.

Online shopping for activewear when you're tall and curvy is a gamble. Here are my real numbers so you can compare them to yours and get a feel for how these pieces might fit a body like mine.
| Measurement | Mine |
|---|---|
| Height | 6 ft |
| Weight | 220 lbs |
| Bust | 40 in |
| Waist | 36 in |
| Hips | 48 in |
| Size I wore in the tummy control leggings | XL |
If you're close to my measurements, my fit notes below should be a good guide. If you're shorter, expect the leggings and sleeves to run longer on you than they do on me. Always check IUGA's own size chart for each piece before you order.
Here's what I tried and what I thought.

I tried these in a blue shade, size XL. The pockets are deep enough for your phone at the gym. The fabric is soft, doesn't feel cheap and has stretch, and the waist sits high without pinching. Most important to me: they are not see-through, which is my number one sign of a quality legging.
For a 36-inch waist and 48-inch hips, the high rise matters. A low waistband rolls down the second you bend over. These sit high without pinching, even through my squat test.

This lightweight full-zip track jacket is the piece that got me. As a tall girl, thumb-hole tops never reach my hands. This one does. It also has zip side pockets for your keys, a chin guard over the zipper, and a breathable, lightweight fabric that won't overheat you on a walk or jog.
If you've got long arms like me, you know the struggle of sleeves that stop at your wrist bone. This one gets a tall-girl stamp of approval.

If the little ones left you with a little something, these pieces are forgiving. The front is sleek, the waistband smooths you out, and the set mixes and matches since the pieces come in multiple colors.
The second pair has a lift seam for the booty and a compressing waistband to smooth the tummy. I did a squat test on camera: no issues, lots of stretch and no pinching at the waist. If you're shopping for leggings, always do the squat test.

IUGA's high-waisted stretchy denim jeggings with pockets feel like athleisure but look like real denim. You can wear them to the gym, brunch, errands or work. They have a thick waistband, front and back pockets, and they hug curvy girls in all the right places.
For a curvy girl, finding jeans that fit the hips without gapping at the waist is a whole sport. The stretch and the thick waistband are made for exactly that, and on me they hugged in all the right places.
